Stacking Wrapped Paper Plates Stacks - System Spotlight

This system was designed for one of our customers that wanted transport, accumulate, index, divide and stack wrapped stacks of paper plates at a maximum rate of about 40 stacks per minute. Products enter the system from a wrapper and conveyed 90 degrees with the use of a pneumatic pusher. The product is then transported to the stacker where they will accumulate behind a stop. Two products are released at a time. The leading product conveys to a fixed stop and the trailing product conveys to a pneumatic stop. A single lift grid raises the products up to the overhead position, held in place by overhead guides. The cycle repeats until the desired stack height is achieved. When the case stack is formed, a pusher pushes the two stacks to the manual case packing station.

Welcome to System Spotlight, giving you an in-depth look at Shuttleworth’s more advanced product handling systems and conveyor applications. In this video, we will showcase a solution for one of our customers that wanted to transport, accumulate, index, divide, and stack wrapped stacks of paper plates at a maximum rate of about 40 stacks per minute.
